After two months of development we have finaly uploaded the new version of EcMess.
First thing you must know is that the login system has been changed. From now on, you will need your e-mail and password to login.
For those of you who don't remember the e-mail address you entered, here is the users list.
If you keep having trouble please email us at support@ecmess.com.
Users who haven't included their e-mail account when they registered will be able to log in using their nickname. Anyway, we suggest that you enter a valid e-mail address using the Setup link inside EcMess.
The most noticeable features added are:
- multiple chat system (the best ranked suggestion)
- possibility to change your online state
- no more noise !
Note:
Keep in mind that this is a test version, so it may be unstable for some time. |

There have been many changes:
1) The system language can be selected between english and spanish. Use the Setup button to access this feature.
2) Messages can have many recipients. You will see the add recipients button in the Compose Message window.
3) The connection and reconnection system has been updated to work automatically.
4) We have incorporated our new logo to the interface.
5) The server side portion of the groups system is ready and we will soon update the client.
We hope you enjoy this new version and I'd like to ask those who quitted using it because of the conection problem to give it a new try.

The EcMess site in english is finally online.
It is not complete yet, but quite a lot has been done. In the following days we will be working on it to complete the translation.

Browser compatibility issues |

EcMess new version has been tested to work with Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 5 and above and with Netscape Navigator 4.7x.
You may check your version number choosing the About option in the Help menu
Soon we shall be adding Netscape 6 and Mozilla to the list of compatible browsers.

For those users that become upset about the non-stop click sound produced by EcMess, we inform you that tis is not a bug, but part of the implementation. However, the good news is that in the next EcMess version, in which we are working on, the implementation will be radically different and among other things, there will be no need for constant updating, which is the cause of the bothering clicking! |

New voting system |

From now on, a new voting system has been implemented for the Suggestions area.
A user can now vote only once for each suggestion, and the system will prompt for your nickname and password when you vote.
We have reset the votes table, so if you had already voted, please do it again, and if you had not then what are you waiting for ! |

This is our first attempt to bring up this interesting invention to a greater number of people in order to achieve, as soon as possible, a stable and massive version. The site's essential purpose is to make it simple and practical in order to establish a good communication between the users and the developing team.

Embedding EcMess on your web site |

This feature is currently under development. If you are interested in adding this tool to your website, please send us an e-mail at embedded AT ecmess.com telling us about your needs so that we can take them into account in the development process. You will also be informed when beta testing starts.
